About Our Certificates

We offer a variety of ways to attain a theological education. We understand that not all individuals are interested in a formal education but would like to grow in their knowledge of theological matters. As a result, we have developed certificate programs to provide alternative options to our academic degrees. We also offer auditing as an option. Our hope is for everyone to grow in the "in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18 ESV).

Certificate Programs

Certificate of Christian Studies **Special Offer for 2025-26**

The Certificate of Christian Studies is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to study at the master’s level. Students take six courses of their choice for credit, which may assist in discerning whether to pursue a formal degree program. If admitted into a degree program later, individuals seeking this certificate can use their qualifying certificate courses towards their degree program. A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution is required to apply for this certificate.

Certificate of Continued Education

The Certificate of Continued Education is a non-credit solution for pastors and laity who want theological education without committing to the full demands of a regular course. Students are able to participate in six courses of their choice in our most affordable program to date. Individuals who choose this certificate are better equipped to serve their ministry context. A high-school diploma or its equivalent is required to pursue this certificate.

Auditing Courses

Individuals who choose to audit courses at ITS will be allowed to enroll in a course for no grade or credit toward an individual's degree program. Any registered and enrolled student at ITS may register to audit a course. A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution is required to audit a course at ITS.
