Before You Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying for admission to International Theological Seminary!

We encourage prospective students to contact an Admissions Representative prior to applying for a specific program. Reach out to us at admissions@itsla.edu.

Basic Application Requirements

Required Documents

While filling out the application form you will be asked to provide the following:

  • Your photo
  • Transcripts (official transcripts should be sent to admission@itsla.edu)
  • three contacts for the pastoral, academic/professional, lay church leader references.
  • Statement of Commitment

Statement of Financial Support and Travel Expenses forms are part of the application form and can be downloaded from it.

The admission fee is a part of the application process.

Masters and Certificate Programs

Masters degree applicants are required to have earned a regular bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution before applying for admission into our Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS), Master of Divinity (MDiv), and Certificate programs.

Doctor of Ministry

Our Doctor of Ministry (DMin) programs require applicants to have completed an MDiv degree prior to application.

Doctor of Intercultural Studies

Applicants to the Doctor of Intercultural Studies program are required to have completed an MA or MDiv degree, as well as the Missiology Prerequisite block (36 units) which can be taken at ITS.

Next Steps

After submitting all required documents and forms, you will be notified via email within 6-8 weeks about the status of your application.

Once accepted into our institution, you will be transferred to our Registrar Department who will assist you with class registration and enrollment into your admitted program.
